Rosalie V. Lingenfelter, 80, of Indiana, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the Communities at Indian Haven, with her family at her side.


A daughter of the late Onie and Eula Keener Ott, she was born May 6, 1933, in Oakland, Md.


Mrs. Lingenfelter was a graduate of Indiana High School.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Center Presbyterian Church in Creekside.  Mrs. Lingenfelter enjoyed raising her family and their friends.  She was more than a mom to just her sons; she and her husband were known by their children’s friends as Ma and Pap.  Mrs. Lingenfelter enjoyed music and dancing, especially when listening to the band her son played in and watching her sons and grandson race cars at the local race tracks.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.


She is survived by her husband, Dwight E. Lingenfelter; six sons: David E. Lingenfelter and wife Grace, of Shelocta; W. John Lingenfelter and wife Karen, of Manor Twp.; Elkin L. Lingenfelter and wife Nancy, of Indiana; Jerry L. Lingenfelter and wife Debbie, of Indiana; Jim L. Lingenfelter and wife Tammi, of Mars; and Tom S. Lingenfelter and wife Tammy, of Blairsville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


Receiving of friends will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at  6 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, with the Rev. Ann Miner officiating.
