Tight end Heath Miller and center Maurkice Pouncey are the two AFC Pro Bowlers representing the Pittsburgh Steelers. this year.  Miller won't play because of his knee injury.  He’ll have ligament surgery today to repair his torn ACL and MCL.  He also suffered damage to his PCL in the same knee, but it won’t require surgery.

Pouncey was named a starter for the AFC in Hawaii next month.

The Steelers placed Miller, cornerback Ike Taylor and running back Baron Batch on injured reserve on Wednesday.  They signed tight end Jamie McCoy, safety Damon Cromartie-Smith and linebacker Marshall McFadden.  They also signed  defensive back Walter McFadden and wide receiver Bert Reed to the practice squad.
