HIGH SCHOOL BOYS-HOMER CENTER ERASES HUGE DEFICIT TO BEAT BLAIRSVILLE
Capitosti, defense lead comeback

1/15/2013

Homer Center fell behind Blairsville by 17 points in the first half, but stormed back for a 62-48 win in the Heritage Conference.  Troy Williams scored ten first-quarter points to fuel the Bobcats' run, but the Wildcats Cody Miller and Nathan Wilden teamed up on him to limit his touches the rest of the way, and the Bobcats couldn't find scoring from anyone else.

The lead was six by halftime, and the Wildcats trailed by only 4 after three.  They then went on a 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter.  Homer Center outscored Blairsville 24-6 in the final period, with tremendous full court pressure creating numerous trunovers and Capitosti converting pick-and-roll baskets in the delay offense.

In non-conference play, Northern Cambria beat Westmont Hilltop 64-44 as Adam Polites and Jeff Hogan each scored 19 points.
