Pitcher to join Pirates

We now know what the injury is to Francisco Liriano, the former Twins pitcher who agreed to terms with the Pirates last month, injured his non-throwing arm in Venezuela, and then had to rework the deal earlier this week because of the injury.  Liriano broke the humerus bone in his right arm.  That’s the bone that connects the shoulder to the forearm bones.  Fox Sports cites a Spanish-language newspaper which says Liriano fractured the bone when he fell in his bathroom.

Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig announced yesterday that the All-Star Game will be at GreatAmericanBallPark in Cincinnati in 2015.  This year's All-Star Game will be at Citi Field in New York, and next year's at Minnesota's Target Field.
