Evgeni Malkin is definitely out of the lineup for today’s game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

During Friday Night’s game between the Pens and the Florida Panthers, Malkin rushed against Florida’s Erik Gudbranson, and Malkin was upended and he crashed into the boards Back-first.  He was able to make it off the ice and into the locker room under his own power, but according to several sources, Malkin is now experiencing concussion-like symptoms.  His status for the team’s upcoming road trip is not known, as he’ll continue to be evaluated.

You can hear the Pens take on the Lightning tonight on U-92.5 FM starting at 6:30 with the pre-game show.
