At last night’s meeting, the Blairsville-Saltsburg school board approved the letter of award for ABM Building Solutions, LLC.
The letter acknowledges that the project with ABM will result in increased energy efficiency, equipment reliability and infrastructure improvements throughout the district that would save the district some money in the long run.
Board president Rick Harper talked about what will come next in this project with ABM.
In other business, the board deadlocked at 4 votes in favor of and against moving forward with plans presented by HHSDR for the restrooms and concession stand at the Blairsville Football Field. Several board members voting against the project claimed the $490,000 price tag was too high. Haprer said this will move back to committee.
The board also approved an agreement for Seton Hill University’s College in High School Dual Credit program and accepting a Project Fit America grant, sponsored by IRMC, for the Saltsburg Middle-High School.
