Indiana County Commissioner Mike Keith told the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at their recent meeting that the county’s refinancing of debt through a $15.7 million loan will enable them to pay off loans taken in 2018, reduce interest rates, and level annual payments on existing debt. It will also create ten million dollars of new investment.
Keith said the result will be that the county can fund the new Westmoreland County Community College campus project and the Greater Allegheny Challenger Learning Center. And, he said, the move will allow for improvements on various county buildings.
