The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is once again extending expiration dates for driver’s licenses, learner’s permits and ID cards in the wake of Coronavirus concerns.
The new extension is for licenses and ID cards that were set to expire between March 16th and now July 31. The last extension date was until the end of this month. PennDOT also reminds those with camera cards that those are considered valid driver’s licenses as well, so it is also covered under the same extension plan.
There will be some things that will not be extended into next month. They include vehicle registrations of all classes, safety and emissions inspections and persons with disabilities placards that will expire between March 16th and June 30th must be renewed.
PennDOT also reminds everyone that photo centers and driver’s license centers will be closed Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
