WHAT WE REPORTED PREVIOUSLY:
It’s been a very active weekend for Indiana County firefighters. After a summons for a house fire in Clymer last night, firefighters were dispatched to another house fire in Young Township.
The first fire along Dixon Road in Clymer was reported at 9:04 PM. The Clymer, Commodore, and Cherryhill Township fire companies were dispatched along with the Cambria County Rapid Intervention Team. It turned out to be a small fire under the porch of the home. Firefighters put it out and then ensured that it hadn’t spread elsewhere in the house.
The second fire was reported just after 11 PM and caused more extensive damage. Firefighters found the house ablaze along Route 286 in Young Township. The Iselin/West Lebanon, Coal Run/McIntyre, and Saltsburg fire companies were dispatched, and were soon joined by Tunnelton, Apollo, and Elderton.
Clyde firefighters were summoned into Westmoreland County for a fire along Market Street in Bolivar early this morning.
Indiana firefighters were sent to an accident just after 3 AM today on Philadelphia Street on the west end of town.
