A Homer City woman and her passenger were both injured Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route 403 in Buffington Township.
State police say the accident happened north of Cameron’s Road just after 4 PM when a car driven by 37-year-old Shelley Mack skidded out on control on a patch of ice and struck a tree.
Mack had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters and was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown with moderate injuries. Her passenger, 40-year-old Timothy Bell of Lucernemines, suffered minor injuries.
Vintondale and Brush Valley firefighters responded, along with Citizens Ambulance.
No one was injured last night in a crash on Hamill Road in White Township. State police say a 16-year-old girl who is not publicly identified tried to make a left turn from Whippoorwill Street but failed to yield the right-of-way to a vehicle operated by 76-year-old Joseph Dicello of Indiana. The two collided and both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
