A Northern Cambria man was charged with endangering the welfare of children, fleeing from police and several summary traffic violations for an incident on March 3rd. State police say at 5:04 PM, a trooper was on routine patrol on Route 580 in Green Township approaching the intersection with Pine Flats Road when he saw a black Dodge Ram pickup truck cross the double-yellow-line twice and blow through a stop sign at the intersection. The trooper turned on the lights and siren, but the truck did not stop and turned onto Evergreen Road. After turning onto Stitt Road, the truck came to an abrupt stop.
Police identified the driver as 43-year-old Timothy Keith, and in the truck with him was Keith’s girlfriend and his 13-year-old son. Keith is free on $500 cash bail, but is due for a preliminary hearing on March 22nd.
A man from New Alexandria is accused of making threatening phone calls to the Magisterial District Court office in Clymer Borough on March 5th. State police say that 30-year-old Russell Reynolds was charged in connection with the incident. Reynolds allegedly called the court office three times and on the final call, said he would “show up and stomp the clerk’s face in.” Appropriate charges are expected to be filed.
A Seward couple is facing a child endangerment charge for an incident on March 4th. Police say at 10:29 PM, they were called to a location on Route 56 East in East Wheatfield Township as a shoeless and jacketless 15-year-old boy was seen walking along 56 in 19-degree weather. The boy arrived at a local gas station and police were summoned at that point. It was determined that the boy’s parents, a 37-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, had abandoned him after an argument in their vehicle.
