It was a busy day for first responders as several calls were reported in the county, including reports of power lines coming down in different areas.
Utility lines were reported down at 10:32 AM on Chambersville Road in Washington Township. Creekside firefighters were called out to respond. At 2:42 PM, lines were reported down on Route 403 South in Buffington Township. Vintondale Volunteer Fire Department was called out at the time, and Brush Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department was called out 23 minutes later to assist at the scene.
Emergency crews also had to deal with a fuel spill on Oakland Avenue in White Township at 3:10 PM. Indiana Fire Association members were called out at the time.
And a vehicle accident was reported this morning at 5:21 AM on Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh Fire Department was on the scene, along with state police and Citizens’ Ambulance. Another accident was reported this morning at 6:11 AM on Richmond Road in East Mahoning Township. Marion Center Fire Department, state police and Citizens’ are on the scene.
