While it is getting close to the official first day of summer, there are still some remnants of winter along Indiana County’s roadways.
Listeners have commented that some of Indiana County’s state highways still have a lot of the grime and anti-skid material on the road from last winter, yet roads in other counties have had their winter mess cleaned up already. PennDOT District 10 Media Representative Christina Gibbs said that crews are still working on cleaning up winter’s remnants in Indiana County.
It’s one part of a busy construction season with several projects going on, including the replacement of culverts on Route 422 west of Indiana, widening and resurfacing the Route 286/422 interchange, and a resurfacing project coming up in Brush Valley, Buffington, Center, Pine and South Mahoning Townships and Plumville Borough.
