Several preliminary hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County District Courts, including a hearing for a man charged in connection with an incident in late May where he allegedly damaged a car with a shovel.
Court documents say that 30-year-old Russell Lee Reynolds of New Alexandria is due before District Judge Guy Haberl at 1:15 PM today for his preliminary hearing. He is charged with felony criminal mischief, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment and disorderly conduct for an incident that happened May 28th in the 1000 block of Sage Street in Clymer Borough. Police say around 8:00 AM that day, Reynolds and an unnamed 30-year-old Clymer man got involved in a physical altercation when Renyolds allegedly hit a black Volkswagen Jetta that belonged to another woman with a shovel. Reynolds told police that the other man hit him in the head with a glass beer bottle thrown at him.
Also due before Haberl today is 47-year-old Hiram McGill of Indiana, who is charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for an incident on May 30th.
And 24-year-old Lori Ann Murdock will also have a preliminary hearing today on charges of receiving stolen property and public drunkenness for an incident on April 4th of this year.
