Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco has set a trial date for Dylan Dalessio, the Plumville man accused of arson and other crimes for a series of fires in northern Indiana County in late 2018 and early 2019.
The 21-year-old Dalessio was originally charged with arson and related offenses in three separate cases from December of 2018 and January of 2019. He was later charged in a fourth filing, along with his father, for intimidation of a witness or victim and related crimes.
In September of last year, Dalessio was charged with arson in June of 2018 and December of 2019, and with insurance fraud in February of ’19. Then in March of this year, charges were filed against him for two arson fires in September of 2016, and another in June of 2017.
While some of those cases are still in process, Judge Bianco has set jury selection for four of the arson cases for August 23rd, with the trials to start the next day. In those four cases, Dalessio faces 23 felony charges, six misdemeanors, and five summary citations.
His father’s case is still in process.
The cases against an arson co-defendant, fellow former firefighter Nicholas Leone, are also in process, with Criminal Call set for next month.
