PennDOT says a repaving operation in Plumville will get underway on Monday, as part of this year’s Indiana County Group Resurfacing project.
Work crews will be laying new asphalt this week on Route 85 from Plumville to the Armstrong County line. There could be delays and single-lane traffic from time to time and motorists are advised to watch for and obey flaggers. The $3 million project includes paving on portions of Routes 954, 422, and 85 in Brush Valley, Buffington, Center, Pine, and South Mahoning townships in addition to Plumville Borough, and will be completed this fall.
PennDOT also last week announced that a resurfacing project on Route 119 in northern Indiana County will begin on August 2nd. A portion of the highway from Marshall Road to Wachob Road in North Mahoning Township, three miles south of Punxsutawney, will be repaved. The work will include milling, patching, paving, leveling, and minor drainage and guiderail upgrades. There will be daylight flagging between 7 AM and 5 PM. It’s a $2.165 million project scheduled to be completed on October 22nd.
