The Marion Center School Board met last night and the district’s health and safety plan was up for discussion.
During public comment, parents talked about some of the concerns that they had with the plan, including the possibility of having students once again wear masks in the district. Superintendent Clint Weimer reminded residents that the plan is that masks are optional right now, but the plan could change if conditions change in the district. He also reminded everyone that due to federal regulations, masks are required on district school buses.
In other business, the board approved a three-year agreement with Ronald McCrory CPA to conduct audits for the district. The board also approved the district’s elementary and secondary student handbooks.
