A Blairsville man facing drug-related charges will avoid jail time following his sentencing hearing today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
Court documents show that 31-year-old Tyler Ballengee will serve one year probation for three misdemeanor counts of possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Ballengee was found with these items after state police in Indiana responded to reports of drug paraphernalia inside of a vacant room at the Days Inn near Villa Road on July 5 of last year.
Ballengee admitted to owning the items after troopers found him sitting on a bench near the hotel. All of his sentences will run concurrently.
Also sentenced was 31-year-old Michael Leone who will serve 10 days to six months in Indiana County Jail, along with serving six months of probation for two misdemeanor counts of indirect criminal contempt.
