The Homer-Center School Board on Thursday night tabled the purchase of new cafeteria tables for the elementary school.
The board was looking at purchasing $12,878.85 worth of new cafeteria tables from Decker, Inc. to replace ones that were getting warped or unusable. Board president Michael Bertig said that the Buildings and Grounds committee wanted to look at another option.
In other business, the board tabled approving the evaluation for Superintendent Curtis Whitesel, but it was not out of a negative review. Bertig said that more time was needed for some board members to complete their evaluations and submit them to him before the final evaluation is created.
The board did approve the second reading and adoption of several board policies, including weapons, threat assessment, hazing, bullying and cyberbullying, and emergency preparedness and response.
