Finding people to work is an increasingly troublesome task for employers, and school districts across the region continue to struggle to find substitute teachers. The Marion Center School Board will tackle that problem at a work session tonight.
On the agenda is a proposal to increase the pay for substitutes, and motions to add a total of six long-term subs. The board will also consider several other personnel matters, including two more substitute teachers and two instructional aides.
The board will also hear a second reading of six district policies and a first reading of another. The meeting is scheduled for 7 PM.
Indiana Area’s Buildings and Grounds Committee meets tonight for discussion of the East Pike roof project and other items.
