The average cost of a gallon of gas continues to hold steady across Pennsylvania and Indiana County.
The current state-wide average for gas according to Triple A is $3.33 a gallon, which held steady from last week, but is five cents higher than last month at this time. Pennsylvania’s average last year at this time was $2.49 a gallon. The national average $3.19 a gallon, which is thirteen cents cheaper than Pennsylvania’s average.
Indiana County’s average is close to the statewide average, but at $3.34 a gallon, it is one of the higher averages in the region. Westmoreland, Armstrong and Cambria Counties are all reporting $3.33 a gallon this morning. Clearfield tied with Indiana County at $3.34, and Jefferson had the region’s highest gas price average at $3.35 a gallon.
Montour has the lowest average in Pennsylvania at $3.25 a gallon, while Warren has the highest average at $3.45 a gallon.
In Indiana, Homer City and Blairsville, prices are at $3.35 on average. The highest gas price in Indiana County is $3.39 a gallon, reported in Clymer, PA on Gasbuddy.com
