Yesterday was the final day for two long-time officers in the Indiana County Sheriff’s office.
Indiana County Sheriff Bob Fyock announced on the office’s Facebook page that yesterday was the final day of active duty for Chief Christopher Cusimano and for Deputy First Class Neil Stuchell. Cusimano is retiring after 23 years in the Sheriff’s office and 35 years in law enforcement. He started his law enforcement career as a police officer in Maryland before returning to Indiana.
Stuchell has served the Sheriff’s office for the last 20 years. He also worked for 13 years at the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency as a dispatcher and supervisor at the 911 facility. He has also worked in law enforcement for 31 years, with stints in several different municipalities.
It was also announced that department clerk Elizabeth Rocco is retiring after four years of service. She also worked at the 911 facility before coming to the sheriff’s office, serving the 911 facility for 15 years as a dispatcher. Her last day will be Monday, January 3rd.
