During the Indiana County Commissioners meeting this morning, the Commissioners got some encouraging news on the Covid-19 pandemic from the County’s emergency management director Tom Stutzman.
He said in his report that some of the vital numbers from the Centers for Disease Control show that the hospital numbers and the overall average is going down across the board.
Stutzman advises that people should continue to get their vaccinations and booster shots, because one fact that has shown up not just in Indiana County, but across the nation, is that many of the cases that require ICU care or ventilators are unvaccinated people.
In other business, the Commissioners approved a CARES Act Revolving Loan Fund loan of $50,000 to Ailin Hospitality, who run the Ramada in Indiana. The Commissioners also proclaimed the month of January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month and February as Black History Month.
