Former Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett had his much-anticipated, infamous hand measurement at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, and it confirmed what everyone already knew: Pickett has two of the smallest hands in Combine history, measuring only 8-and-a-half inches. Some NFL teams feel small hands could lead to fumbles, especially since the NFL football is bigger around than the college ball by a full inch.
The website Sharp Football says only nine quarterbacks since 1987 out of 663 measured had smaller hands than Pickett, none of whom made it as NFL QBs.
