Members from First Commonwealth Bank gave an update about a campaign aimed at providing funds for pediatric care.
First Commonwealth’s Financial Solutions Center Manager Corey Smith joined Renda Media General Manager Mark Bertig this morning on Indiana in the Morning to present the amount of money raised through the “Light the Lamp” campaign that raises funds for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive, which go towards child health care at the Indiana Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Smith said that First Commonwealth donated $5 for every goal scored by the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and he presented the final amount raised this morning.
This year marks 10 years since the “Light the Lamp “ campaign began, and Smith said he is happy to see how far this has come.
In addition to Light the Lamp, First Commonwealth Bank also helps the community in other ways, including partnering with the Homer City booster club in maintaining First Commonwealth Bank Field in Center Township.
