It has been since early August since the Powerball Jackpot was won, and it has grown to one of the highest levels of all time.
Tonight’s jackpot will be worth $825 million annuity or a $410.2 million one-time cash prize. If the jackpot is won tonight, it will be the second biggest prize awarded in the history of the multi-state lottery game and the 5th largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. It is also the largest lottery jackpot this year, and only the second time that the Jackpot has gone over $800 million. The only other time that it has gone over that mark was when the jackpot grew to $1.586 billion in January of 2016, with the jackpot split among winners in California, Tennessee and Florida.
If no one matches all five regular numbers and the Powerball in tonight’s drawing, the jackpot is anticipated to roll over to $1 billion.
