State police are continuing to investigate a theft that happened last month at a home in West Kittanning Borough. Troopers were initially dispatched on December 5th at 10:50 AM after receiving a call from 87-year-old Tillie Anderson of Harrison Street. She told police that $7000, all in $100 bills, was missing from her home. State police took a close look at the house and saw no signs of forced entry. Anderson told police that she believed a family member stole the money.
More details were provided in a New Year’s Eve crash in nearby South Bend Township. Troopers say that the crash happened at 12:57 PM at the intersection of Route 210 and Orchard Drive. A minivan driven by 32-year-old Kamilah Minto of Spring Church was going south on 210 when it was hit on the passenger side by a truck driven by 18-year-old Ethan Egley of Spring Church as it was coming out of Orchard Drive. Neither driver, nor was an infant passenger in the van injured. The minivan was disabled, while the truck was able to be driven from the scene.
