The consultant leading the search for a new superintendent at the Purchase Line School District plans to hold focus group discussions with various groups in the district and has scheduled a meeting tomorrow for community members.
Templeton Advantage, LLC consultant Tom Templeton will conduct the session from 5:30 to 7 PM to “explore the strengths and challenges” of the district, review the key issues to be addressed over the next year and beyond, and “determine the critical skills needed in the next superintendent.” He invites attendees to express their views “with candor and honesty.”
Current superintendent Shawn Ford will leave the district on February 15th to take a position as assistant superintendent in the DuBois Area School District. Ford has been at Purchase Line since September of 2018. The board this month hired Dave London, the former superintendent of the Smethport School District, to serve as the Purchase Line interim superintendent.
The meeting tomorrow night is in the school board meeting room. There is no need to RSVP.
