At a meeting Wednesday night, Clymer Borough Council received updates on the stormwater system transfer and the purchase of a street sweeper.
Last month, council approved the transfer of the stormwater system to the Clymer Borough Municipal Authority in an effort to make it easier to acquire money for the storm sewer project. Borough Manager Sonya Schrenkel said that the paperwork is now with the state.
Final approval could take two to four months.
In other business, the borough did have a setback in the purchase of a street sweeper. Schrenkel said that the borough is in the market for a used street sweeper, but the one that was offered recently did not meet expectations.
The borough has re-advertised bid requests for the street sweeper and have one bid in now.
