First responders had a quiet day on Thursday with only two calls reported, but one was for a fire last night in Buffington Township.
The Vintondale, Brush Valley, Armagh/East Wheatfield, and New Florence fire departments, Black Lick EMS and the county’s HAZMAT team were dispatched at 6:32 PM for a reported structure fire at 26 Long Lane Road northwest of Vintondale. No word yet on the extent of the damage from that fire.
The other call was for an automatic fire alarm activation in Conemaugh Township. The Tunnelton Fire Department was dispatched to the alarm on Tunnelton Road at 1:35 PM.
