More information was released on a vehicle crash that happened in Rayne Township last Thursday afternoon. State police say at 12:45 PM on March 16th, troopers were dispatched Route 119 south of Washington Road. 55-year-old David Cochran of Homer City was with 62-year-old Terri Cochran in their pickup truck and had stopped in the Northbound lane of 119 with it’s left turn signal on to turn into a nursing home on the west side of the street when it was rear-ended by Nissan Altima driven by 32-year-old Brian Jodon of Plumville. The impact caused the Altima’s airbags to deploy. The truck had minor rear-end damage while the Altima had disabling damage and its airbags were deployed. No injuries were reported, but Jodon was charged with following too closely.
DUI charges are pending in a case from last Friday in Center Township. State Police say that at 9:03 PM on the 17th, a 29-year-old Indiana man was pulled over at the intersection of Route 119 and Lucerne Road for various traffic violations. The suspect was seen in the car with marijuana and police believed he was driving under the drug’s influence and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending the results of blood tests.
