Free agency news come fast and furious in the NFL these days, and the Steelers are no exception.
- The team introduced inside linebacker Cole Holcomb yesterday. He signed for three years after arriving free agency from the Washington Commanders. Holcomb played in only seven games last season because of a foot injury that required surgery in December. He said via Zoom yesterday that he will be ready for organized team activities in May.
- Outside linebacker Malik Reed has signed with the Miami Dolphins after one season in Pittsburgh.
- Safety Terrell Edmunds has not signed with another NFL team yet, but he will apparently be leaving Pittsburgh. He posted a farewell and thank you on his Twitter account yesterday.
- Former Steelers offensive coordinator Tom Moore will be honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August. The 84-year-old will be one of the winners of the “Awards of Excellence” by the league. Even at age 84, Moore continues to work in the league. Last month he signed on as an assistant with the Tampa Bay Bucs. Moore started on Chuck Noll’s staff in 1977, won Super Bowls after the ’78 and ’79 seasons, and has coached with eight other teams.
