It will be quite a while before the Nathanial Price homicide case goes to trial in Indiana County Court. Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco this week scheduled a status conference for the case, but not until over a year from now. Bianco set April 10th, 2024 for the conference.
Price is charged in the double homicide of Timothy Gardner and Jacqueline Brink at the couple’s apartment in Cherryhill Township in October of 2016. A co-defendant, Justin Stevenson, pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree murder and is serving two life sentences without the chance for parole. Stevenson has asked for relief from that sentence, so his case is back before the court system. He and Price both accused the other of the beating deaths of Gardner and Brink. A third defendant, Isaiah Scott, had his case transferred to the juvenile court system.
A series of appellate court rulings has limited the evidence prosecutors may use against Price. Bianco’s ruling last week came after the court received documentation and a memorandum affirming the latest Superior Court ruling in the case.
