A Bolivar man was sentenced yesterday in eight cases, including one where he was charged with trying to steal money from Pennsylvania Skills Machines in Blairsville.
29-year-old Clifford Camut, Jr. was sentenced in three drug-related cases, two theft cases, and cases of attempted theft, attempted burglary and retail theft for incidents that date back to 2019. One of the cases that he was sentenced for was a case in January of last year. He, along with Brittany Arcurio of Johnstown were charged with breaking into two skill game machines inside the Blue Diamond on East Market Street in Blairsville and making off with $1400 in cash. Police were able to identify the two through surveillance video.
Along with fines and court costs, Camut was ordered to serve up to five years in state prison. In many cases, he was ordered to serve up to a year in county jail, but it was ordered by Judge Mike Clark to have the sentences run concurrently.
Also sentenced yesterday was 20-year-old Christopher Dilts of Heilwood, who was charged in one case with two counts of simple assault and a single count of resisting arrest, and in the other case he was charged with burglary. Probation in a previous case was revoked as part of his sentencing yesterday, and he was ordered to serve up to a day less than two years in county jail along with two years of probation. He was given credit for time served and was released, but still must serve the probation.
