In statements that were emailed to customers, power was knocked out to 120,000 Penelec customers across its service area. Parent company FirstEnergy said over 637,000 of its customers without power across six states. Power is expected to be restored by 11:00 PM tomorrow at the latest.
REA Energy is not reporting any outages in Indiana County at this time. No word on how many of its cooperative members went without power during the storms that rolled through.
