UPDATE: More information was provided on two of the crashes in Indiana County on Sunday. The crash in Cherry Tree Borough was a fatal motorcycle crash. You can read more about it by clicking here.
The other crash that was updated was the crash in Blairsville Borough. Blairsville Police say that 45-year-old Daniel Lowman was driving east on Route 22 taking the Route 217 exit onto North Walnut Street when he lost control and rolled the vehicle. He drove away from the scene but was later found on Falling Run Road by Blairsville Fire and EMS personnel.
Two children in the vehicle with him were treated on-scene while Lowman was taken to IRMC for treatment, then to the Indiana County Jail on charges of DUI-Alcohol, child endangerment and reckless endangerment. He remains in jail in lieu of $5000 bond.
WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
Four vehicle accidents were reported by Indiana County 911 on Easter Sunday.
The first accident was reported at 12:07 PM on Route 286 East in Green Township. That call sent out the Commodore Volunteer Fire Department, and state police.
The second accident call came at 4:19 PM on Route 22 West at Walnut Street in Blairsville Borough. Blairsville and Black Lick fire fighters were dispatched at the time along with Citizens’ Ambulance and the Blairsville Borough Police.
Commodore Volunteer Fire Department was called out at 7:16 PM for the crash on Route 286 East in Montgomery Township. They would be joined on-scene by state police and Citizens’ ambulance.
The final crash of the day was at 8:02 PM on Front Street in Cherry Tree Borough. Cherry Tree firefighters, Citizens’ and Hastings ambulance services and state police were on the scene.
No details have been provided on any of these collisions.
Also on Easter Sunday was a report of the 40th brush fire of the year in Indiana County. This was reported on Dixonville Road in Green Township at 2:31 PM. Commodore Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at the time.
