The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission recently announced recipients for grant funds used to rehabilitate public boating facilities in the Commonwealth. Among them is a municipality in Indiana County.
According to a news release, the Robinson Community Center in West Wheatfield Township received a portion of funds to improve canoe and kayak access along the Conemaugh River. The funds come from the Boating Facility Grant Program, which covers up to 50 percent of costs for land acquisition, project design/engineering, development, expansion, and construction of public recreational boat access facilities.
The PFBC has not announced the total amount of funds awarded to the Robinson Community Center.
