Both sides in the negotiations for a new contract for faculty at State System of Higher Education schools will return to the bargaining table today.
According to a news release, representatives for APSCUF, the union representing the state system teachers, and PASSHE will meet today for another negotiating session. The last time the two sides met was last Friday, when they discussed continuing education, leave issues and consolidation issues. No word yet on what topics are expected to be discussed during today’s negotiation session.
The contract between the State System Schools and Teachers expires at the end of June. Meanwhile, the State System and APSCUF are also negotiating coaches’ contracts. Their next session is set for June 5th.
