Coach Bill Thompson and his Indiana High team are delaying their summer plans to play some PIAA Quad-A Championship Tournament baseball today, hitting the road for the long trip to East Pennsboro, a school in Cumberland County, just west of Harrisburg. It’s a bus ride of over three hours for the 4 o’clock game.
Indiana is 15-10 and the fourth team out of the WPIAL. East Pennsboro is 15-7 and the champion of District 3.
The game will be heard on WDAD, 100-3 FM, 1450-AM, and streaming at the Listen Live link at wdadradio.com and on the TribLive High School Sports Network.
One other team from the region sees action in the state tournament today. District 9 champ Punxsutawney plays in the Triple-A bracket against Neshannock, out of District 10, in Dubois at 6 o’clock tonight.
