INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
An Indiana man was cited for an incident last Wednesday in Indiana Borough. Officers say they were informed of an incident in the 600 block of Washington Street around 2 p.m. where a man, later identified as 37-year-old Matthew Palmer, allegedly picked his dog up by the leash and slammed it against the ground. A citation for Cruelty to Animals was filed through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
A man from Northern Cambria was charged following an incident last Wednesday. Indiana Borough Police say they charged 43-year-old Gary Lee Shaffer, Jr., after they investigated an assault in the 400 block of South Taylor Street around 12:24 p.m. Shaffer was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and driving on a suspended license following the incident.
