The 8th annual Star-Spangled Celebration will be held today at Mack Park in Indiana.
The event is put on by the YMCA of Indiana County. Gates open at noon today and will feature activities and music throughout the day for all ages, including a kids zone full of bounce houses, food trucks, a beer garden for the adults and an apple pie baking contest. Music will also be a big part of the festival with local groups in the field near the old skating rink. The schedule includes Andrew Mack at 1:00, Midnight Lights at 3:00 and Fuse at 5:00. On the Grandstand, Jarrod Berry will entertain the crowd starting at 7:30. At 8:30 will be a veterans ceremony which includes members of the Jimmy Stewart Composite Squadron 714 and Armstrong County Composite Squadron 125. Eric Neal with the Y says that the ceremony is meant to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
The celebration ends with Fireworks at 9:45 PM.
Just a reminder that we will have a live broadcast from Noon to 2 this afternoon on Your Hometown Radio Stations. You can come down to our tent and spin our prize wheel and enter to win concert tickets as well.
