For the second time this year, the US Postal Service has increased the price of postage.
Sunday was the first day of increased prices for a forever stamp for a one-ounce letter. The price jumps three cents to 66-cents. The cost of postcard stamps also went up by a similar amount to 51 cents. This marks the fifth time that stamp prices have gone up since 2019 and the second time this year.
The reason for the hikes in postage, according to the USPS is because of inflation causing operating costs to increase.
