Officials with Indiana Borough, White Township, IUP and The County Office of Planning and Development will hold a grand re-opening ceremony today for the Hoodlebug Trail Extension.
This is part of the Indiana Multimodal Corridor-Hoodlebug Trail Extension Project that started in 2013. The connecting trail is meant to connect the terminus of the Hoodlebug Trail near Rose Street to Downtown Indiana and eventually the White Township Recreation Complex near East Pike Elementary. Today’s celebration will take place at the intersection of Church and 8th Streets in Indiana Borough, and will honor the accomplishments of the project partners and offering folks an opportunity to ride the trail extension and visit area businesses. A turnaround point will be located just past Indian Springs Road.
The event is free and everyone is invited to attend.
