PITT RELEASE NON-CONFERENCE BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

Pitt basketball has released its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season, and it includes the Backyard Brawl with West Virginia, which will be played this year on December 16^th at WVU.  It will be the 104^th meeting between the two teams.  Coach Jeff Capel will open the season November 6^th at home against North Carolina A&T, followed by home games on November 19^th, 13^th, and 17^th against Binghampton, Florida Gulf Coast, and Jacksonville.  The Panthers will play the Preseason NIT against two undetermined opponents on November 22^nd and 24^th, then play Missouri at home in the ACC-SEC Challenge.  In December, Pitt plays Canisius on the 9^th, South Carolina State on the 16^th, and Purdue Fort Wayne on the 20^th.

Capel says forward Jorge Diaz Graham will miss six weeks this summer with a foot injury. He will miss the team’s summer tour of Spain August 5^th though the 14^th, including games in his hometown in the Canary Islands.
