A liquor license in Indiana County will be part of an auction of twenty expired licenses scheduled for September.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board on Wednesday issued an invitation for bids for the 20 licenses. The minimum bid is $25,000 for each license, but totals are expected to be higher than that. Those interested in bidding must supply either $5000 or 5% of the total bid amount, whichever is higher. This is a move to prevent frivolous bidding and underfunded bids. While the exact location was not released, the license in question for Indiana County is in West Wheatfield Township. A Licenses is also available from Clearfield County as part of the acution.
Bids need to be submitted on or before noon on September 25th. Bids will be opened on September 27th and the winning bidders will be announced soon after.
