Today is Labor Day, a holiday that is focused on celebrating the social and economic achievements of the American Worker.
As today is a federally recognized holiday, there are several closures in effect. Federal, state and local offices are closed for the day, along with courts. This includes PennDOT Driver’s License Centers. State Liquor Stores that would normally be open today will be open until 5:00 tonight.
Many banks are closed for the day. Post offices are closed for the day and there will be no regular mail delivery.
