Gas prices are starting to decline after the Labor Day holiday.
The national gas price average went down two cents over the last week from $3.82 to $3.80 a gallon, according to Triple A. Last month, the average was at $3.82. Prices are still slightly higher than this time last year, when it was at $3.76.
A similar decline was reported in Pennsylvania. This morning’s average is $3.85 a gallon, with a two-cent decrease over the last week. Last month at this time, the average was $3.90 and last year’s average was $3.97.
Indiana County’s average this morning is $3.87. In the surrounding counties, Armstrong County posted a $3.83 average, followed by a $3.84 average in Westmoreland County. Both Jefferson and Cambria posted a $3.85 average, then Indiana, and Clearfield has the highest regional average at $3.89.
Gas prices in Indiana, Homer City, Blairsville and Clymer this morning are at $3.89, according to gasbuddy.com
