Representatives from the company joined White Township and County officials in cutting the ribbon on the new location in the Regency Mall complex along Oakland Avenue. Director of Beverage and Off-premises marketing Jim Prezioso talked about why the long-running Pittsburgh sandwich shop and bar wanted to come to Indiana.
Shawn Zemlock, the Indiana location’s “head coach” said that the welcome they’ve received was amazing, with over 200 people showing up for the opening and hoping to get free sandwiches for a year.

The first person to get her sandwiches was Emily Mack of Armagh, a student at IUP. She arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 last night.
Primanti’s will have several local touches to the restaurant, including in their trademark mural, where Jimmy Stewart joins other Pittsburgh legends on their wall.
