Today is Flag Day and, while it is not a federal holiday, there are some closures in effect.
Federal government offices, banks and post offices are open for the day today. State government offices will be open today as well. On the county level, Indiana County’s row offices and county courts are closed in observance of the holiday. If you have any business on the municipal government level, call the office first to see if they are open today.
A Flag Day celebration will be held tonight at 6 at the Elks Lodge in Indiana. Bob King says the Elks Lodge has been a key component of Flag Day for many years.
Doors open at 5 o’clock.
