After first responders had a busy day on Independence Day, Indiana County first responders had a relatively quiet day yesterday with just a few calls for service.
Two calls for automatic fire alarm activations were reported Friday morning along Club Lane in Burrell Township. The first was at 2:10 AM and the second was at 9:26 AM. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were dispatched both times to the Excela Health facility.
There was also a report of utility lines down on Dixon Road at 10:11 AM, causing some outages in Clymer borough. Clymer Fire Department was called to assist at the scene.
Indiana firefighters were also called out for a carbon monoxide alarm activation on Wilson Avenue in White Township at 9:34 PM.
